TrackCore Provides Recall Alerts in Collaboration with the National Recall Alert Center

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., February 6, 2012 - LPIT Solutions Inc., a healthcare software company based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, announces they have introduced recall alert functionality to TrackCore, their inventory and compliance management solution for tissue and implants.

Recall alerts for the implants and tissues will be available in TrackCore through an exclusive agreement with the National Recall Alert Center (NRAC), who has provided health systems with warnings and alerts since 1973.

TrackCore customers who annually subscribe to the NRAC will be able to enjoy the benefits of the recall alert service in their TrackCore site. In addition, hospitals who are current NRAC members will be eligible for discounts on NRAC's new E.C.L.A.S.S. service and TrackCore when they purchase both together as a bundle.

TrackCore will compare the recall data, provided by the NRAC, with a hospital's current inventory to identify potential matches. Alerts for those matches will be populated on TrackCore's real-time integrated dashboard. In addition, when hosptial staff receive a product in TrackCore, a comparison will be run to see if the product is among those currently recalled. Lastly, the hospital will receive NRAC's alerts directly so that they can verify recalls on items not tracked in TrackCore or that could not match any product identifying criteria.

TrackCore is dedicated to providing its hospital customers with critical information enabling them to improve patient care while maintaining their compliance with federal regulations and standards.

About the National Recall Alert Center
The NRAC is a federally approved, non-profit, non-governmental service agency whose only purpose is to disseminate critical warning alerts. Institutions worldwide have been network members of the NRAC Warning Alert Service since 1973. Certain recall warning alerts may necessitate that your hospital immediately remove and stop utilizing medical products and/or devices.

About TrackCore
TrackCore ensures healthcare organizations are compliant with the FDA, The Joint Commission and American Association of Tissue Banks regulations by allowing the organizations to efficiently manage and track the chain of custody for their tissues and implants.
