Las Vegas, NV- The TrackCore User Group for 2011 was held at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada September 19th-22nd, 2011. TUG11 was designed to gather the users of TrackCore from across the country and allow them to discuss their TrackCore experiences and how they strive to be compliant in their handling of tissues and implants.

The 2nd annual event drew hospital participants from Massachusetts to Washington state. Thirteen individuals were successfully certified on the TrackCore RN Exam and 9 individuals received the TrackCore Super User certification. We consider those who are certified to be experts, according to their roles in TrackCore.

"We had a lot of positive feedback from participants, and our users were excited to hear about the upcoming features and future improvements we're making to TrackCore." said James Casavant, Chief Technology Officer.

Scott Brubaker, Chief Policy Officer of the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB), provided the keynote address, "Expectations When Handling Tissue Grafts." Mr. Brubaker has led the AATB since 2004, serving as a liaison with the FDA, CDC and other professional organizations.

The featured educational session on "Bridging the Gap between Biologics and Compliance," was led by Phil Cearley. He is an Allograft Consultant with the Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation and is a Certified Tissue Banking Specialist with 10 years of experience in the medical industry.

Participants also heard from fellow TrackCore users, Terri Stec and Dave Border, who presented on their own experiences in using TrackCore, focusing on the TrackCore implementation process and how TrackCore enables continuous readiness for inspections.

Our users really enjoyed the event. "No improvements needed. You did a great job!," said one participant.

Information on the TrackCore User Group for 2012 will be announced early next year.

TrackCore: A System that 'Makes Sense'

“I had an awesome experience with the training and use of TrackCore. The training given to us was thorough and concise without being overwhelming. Our staff is using the system and I have heard very few complaints about learning another computer system because it is so intuitive. At a glance I can see what has been used and what needs reordering. Since our billing staff also has access to the system, I feel we are incurring fewer lost charges. Thank you for making TrackCore a system that 'makes sense'.”

Have you ever “Googled" your own name or organization? We recently did just that at LPIT and here are some of the interesting links and newsy tidbits that we discovered.

First is LPIT’s partnership with The Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation, which began in September of 2007. Fast forward to 2009 when Rapid Growth Media covered LPIT’s development of TrackCore, and then Censis Technologies announced the strategic alliance LPIT formed with them in early 2009.

The most recent search results concern LPIT winning the GLITR “Reinvented Company of the Year” award in September of 2010, and LPIT‘s latest partnership which was formed last October with Amerinet, a leading healthcare group purchasing organization.

St Joseph's Hospital & Medical Center Recommends TUG

“The biggest thing I took from TUG10 was learning ways to streamline our process. We had not started the pre-receiving process before TUG10, and I was very apprehensive about the potential for issues we could encounter. We implemented a couple of weeks after returning and have not had any issues. We pre-receive all tissue through our loading dock now and it has been a smooth transition/addition to our chain of custody.”
